Definition:Corporate actions are any actions taken by a company that have a significant impact on its shareholders.
They involve changes to a company’s capital structure, such as M&A transactions, issuing new shares, stock splits, stock dividends, Rights Offerings, Tender Offers, Spin Offs and bankruptcy reorganizations.
Most Corporate actions require an Information agent to disseminate information to reorg departments and to answer questions from shareholders.
