Mutual Fund Proxy Solicitation

Definition:

The process of encouraging mutual fund shareholders to grant their voting authority to a designated proxy, typically the fund’s management or a third-party solicitor, to vote on their behalf at a mutual fund’s annual or special shareholders’ meeting.
