Definition:

The process of interacting with and soliciting input from stakeholders, including investors, employees, customers, suppliers, communities, and advocacy groups, on environmental, social, and governance issues. Stakeholder engagement helps companies understand stakeholder expectations, address concerns, and build trust and credibility in their ESG efforts.
