George Rubis joined Alliance Advisors as the Senior Vice President& Head of Investor Intelligence in 2020. George has been tasked with leading the business and product development for our Ownership Insight, Market Surveillance, Investor Targeting, and Perception Study programs. The majority of his career from 1998 to 2020 was spent on buy-side holding various Portfolio Manager and sector head positions for hedge funds and investment banks investing in utilities, MLPs, E&Ps, refiners, industrials, logistics, and alternative energy companies.
As a portfolio manager George was solely responsible for managing all aspects of a diverse equity, credit, and derivatives portfolio. However, through the years George witnessed and navigated the changes between companies seeking access to capital markets and investors rebalancing investment decisions from mainly financial, into ones impacted by executive pay, corporate governance, environmental and social concerns.
George began his career as a research sell-side analyst at Bankers Trust Corporation working on the aerospace & defense team. George holds a Bachelor’s degree in business from Georgetown University and an MBA degree from Columbia University.
